2022 International Photography Contest: Douro Contemporary Heritage – Alto Douro Wine Region – 20 Years of World Heritage
A edição de 2022 do Concurso Internacional de Fotografia – Douro Património Contemporâneo alia-se à celebração dos 20 anos da inscrição do Alto Douro Vinhateiro na lista do Património Mundial, tendo por âmbito geográfico a área classificada da UNESCO.
O objetivo do concurso deste ano é captar as mudanças/persistências desta paisagem evolutiva e viva nos seus mais diversos aspetos. Além de captar a paisagem, o objetivo é também sentir, percorrer o Douro através das suas gentes, das práticas e da forma como moldam o território vitivinícola através de uma leitura crítica do estatuto Património Mundial. Compreender lugares (possivelmente) desconhecidos do território e promover um novo olhar sobre a fotografia são os principais objetivos deste concurso, inserido no protocolo mecenático celebrado entre o Museu do Douro e a EDP – Gestão da Produção de Energia S.A.
As imagens vencedoras do concurso integrarão a base de dados “Arquivos Visuais” do Museu do Douro, sendo o mote para uma exposição itinerante.
O concurso está aberto a todos os fotógrafos, amadores e profissionais, nacionais e estrangeiros.
Os concorrentes devem apresentar as fotos a concurso entre 1 de novembro e 1 de dezembro de 2022.

The 2022 edition of the International Photography Contest – Douro Contemporary Heritage joins the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the inscription of the Alto Douro Wine Region on the World Heritage List, having the classified area by UNESCO as its geographical scope.
The aim of this year’s contest is to capture the changes/persistencies of this evolving and living landscape in its various aspects. In addition to capturing the landscape, the aim is also to feel, to go through the Douro through its people, its practices and the way they shape the wine-growing territory through a critical reading of the World Heritage status. Understanding (possibly) unknown places of the territory and promoting a new look on photography are the main goals of this contest, which is part of the patronage agreement signed between the Douro Museum and EDP – Gestão da Produção de Energia S.A.
The winning images of the contest will integrate the database “Visual Archives” of the Douro Museum, being the motto for an itinerant exhibition.
The contest is open to all photographers, amateurs and professionals, national and foreign.
Contestants must submit their photos to the contest between November 1st and December 1st, 2022.
